Reflections from a Punjabi Counsellor-in-Training

About Me

I’m Anmol, a Punjabi Sikh counsellor-in-training exploring the ways culture and identity shape our mental health. Growing up between Punjabi traditions and Western expectations, I saw firsthand how many of us struggle silently with emotions, masculinity, family pressure, and feeling “in between.” This space is my way of giving language to those experiences and creating conversations our community often avoids.

Through reflections from my practicum, personal stories, and accessible psychology, I write to break stigma, increase awareness, and help people feel less alone in what they’re carrying. My goal isn’t to provide perfect answers, but to explore healing, vulnerability, and cultural understanding from inside the community itself—one honest post at a time.
